Funding for Applicants and Current Graduate Students

Here is information on some scholarships available for applicants and current Graduate Students:

Cambridge International Scholarship Scheme (CISS)

Eligible applicants must apply by 1st December 2011 for admission and will be automatically considered by the Faculty for these scholarships. Funds overseas Ph.D. students only.  For further information please go to the Board of Graduate Studies website.

Gates Scholarships

There are various deadlines for these scholarships so please go to the Board of Graduate Studies website for information. Funds both Ph.D. and M.Phil. studies for overseas and EU students.

Cambridge Home and EU Scholarships (CHESS)

Eligible applicants must apply by 20th January 2012 for admission and will be automatically considered by the Faculty for these scholarships. Funds both Ph.D. and M.Phil. studies. For further information please go to the Board of Graduate Studies website.

Lady Margaret Studentship

Applicants must apply by 9th January 2012.  Please go to our website to download the form.  Funds Ph.D. students only.

Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)

For information on the procedures of how to apply for these scholarships please see attached document together with the AHRC application form.  Click here to see the document and the form.  The closing date for receipt of the application for admission and the AHRC form to the Faculty is 13th January 2012.

M.Phil. Studentships

Applicants must apply by 22nd February 2012.  Please go to our website to download the form.  One studentship is being funded by the Cambridge Inter-Faith Programme and the research proposal for this studentship must have an inter-faith dimension.

The following studentships all have a closing date for receipt of the application form of Friday, 24th February 2012.  The form should be sent to the Faculty Administrator at the Faculty.  Click here to go to the Grants and Awards page to download the form.

Burney and Gregg Bury Studentship

This studentship is for students whose study or research is in Philosophy of Religion.

Cambridge Inter-Faith Programme Studentship

This studentship is for students whose study or research has an inter-faith dimension.

Crosse Studentship

Funds Ph.D. students only.  This studentship is for students whose research is in Biblical Studies or Ecclesiastical History or Christian Theology.

Peregrine Maitland Studentships

This studentship is for students whose study or research is in Comparative Religion.
