Full-text Databases
The library subscribes to a variety of full-text databases. These include:

Acta Sanctorum Database:
-
an electronic version of the complete printed text of Acta Sanctorum, from the edition published in sixty-eight volumes by the Société des Bollandistes in Antwerp and Brussels. It contains the entire Acta Sanctorum, including all prefatory material, original texts, critical apparatus and indices. Bibliotheca Hagiographica Latina reference numbers, essential references for scholars, are also included.

Bible in English (990-1970):

contains twenty versions of the Bible. In addition to the twelve complete Bibles, there are five New Testament works, two Gospel works and William Tyndale's New Testament, Pentateuch and Jonah translations.

allows searches of various versions of the Bible. On CD-ROM:please ask at the library for access.

Biblia Sacra: Bibles printed in the Netherlands and Belgium:

allows users to request information (text and reproductions) on bibles printed in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Brockelmann online:

consists of both original volumes Geschichte der arabischen Litteratur (GAL) by Carl Brockelmann (1868-1956), as well as the three supplement volumes, including the indexes. It is full-text searchable.

Corpus Augustinianum Gissense:

contains the work of Augustine of Hippo. On CD-ROM: please ask at the library for access.

Eighteenth Century Collections Online:

contains over 180,000 full-text titles (200,000 volumes) including books, pamphlets, essays, broadsides and more.

Patrologia Latina Database:

consists of the first edition of Jacques-Paul Migne's Patrologia Latina, published between 1844 and 1855, and the four volumes of indexes published between 1862 and 1865.

Responsa Project: Global Jewish Database:
-
available via the Cam domain or via the Raven password. Contains the largest electronic collection of Jewish texts in Hebrew including the Bible, the Talmud and their principal commentaries; works about Jewish law and customs; major the codes of Jewish law, such as Maimonides' Mishneh Torah and the Shulchan Aruch with its principal commentaries; midrashim, Zohar, etc…
