Divinity Library changes to borrowing for non-current members of the University/external researchers

last modified Sep 06, 2016 09:35 AM
Since 1 September 2016, the policy for borrowing for non-current members of the University/external researchers has changed: unless you have a blue University card you will not be able to borrow from Divinity Library any more.

Sample University of Cambridge card, for current members of the University.

Borrowing from the Divinity Library has now been restricted to current members of the University of Cambridge (we include members of any of the Cambridge Theological Federation houses, and the colleges of the University of Cambridge in this!); since 1st September 2016 you will only be able to borrow with a blue University card. There are two exceptions:

1. You are a former staff member of the Faculty of Divinity, and "only" have a white University Library card.

2. You are a University of Cambridge visiting scholar or visiting fellow, with a white University Library card; the important feature is that your University Library card shows 'Reg. 5.4'

We are sorry that we cannot extend borrowing privileges to alumni and alumnae, or scholars who have previously benefitted from being able to borrow from the Divinity Library.
