The Faculty of Divinity is delighted to welcome Dr Dongjun Seo as he joins us to start his Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship (co-funded by the Isaac Newton Trust). His research project, Religious Transnationalism during the Cold War: The Global Significance of Kyung-Chik Han, explores the career and influence of Kyung-Chik Han (1903–2000), a North Korean refugee pastor whose impact was felt well beyond Korea, and asks how Korean Protestantism became not merely a recipient but an active agent of transnational Christian influence during the era of the Cold War.
