Big Biblical Drama Reading Group

Why did Abraham deny being Sarah’s husband twice? And why did Lot allow his daughters to be raped? Why did Joseph’s brothers really leave him to die in the desert? Who is Gomer? What happened when Esau tried to reconcile with Jacob? What did Eli think was wrong with Hannah? Why did the spies go straight into a harlot’s house when send to gather intelligence?  Who and what was haunting Saul?

Join us for reading and discussion of some of the most dramatic tales in the Bible, freshen up your memory of them, share your insights, enjoy the drama, and celebrate with us these masterpieces of both human and divine spirit.

Every Thursday 13.00-14.00, Seminar room 7, bring your lunch with you. The reading group is open to all, and undergraduates are especially encouraged to join.

Seminar convenors: Dr. Daniel Weiss, Dr. Tali Artman Partock
