Laura Anellia Soureli

Biography:

 
Education: MSt (Oxon), MSc (Imperial College), BSc (York)
 

Laura is a doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Divinity. She focuses on cross-cultural dialogue between the Abrahamic religions, with particular interests in patristics and mystical currents. Her PhD thesis provides a new reading of the ‘prayer of the heart’, the experience and narrative of the practice of contemplative prayer and the stages towards enlightenment. Before turning to the study of mystical theology, Laura worked in Mathematics and Finance.
