The Faculty of Divinity looks forward to welcoming incoming Gates Scholar, Mr Avweroswo Akpojaro, in Michaelmas Term 2024 to embark upon his research project on the theology of Friedrich Schleiermacher in pursuit of the PhD in Theology and Religious Studies. In his studies and work in Jos and more recently Edinburgh, Mr Akpojaro has demonstrated both intellectual prowess and a strong commitment to leading positive reform in his community. He will be an excellent addition to the Faculty's research community in Christian theology.’
