Faculty of Divinity

The Faculty of Divinity is pleased to congratulate PhD student Barnabas Aspray on his appointment to a Junior Research Fellowship at Pembroke College, Oxford.

Barnabas will be part of a new research programme titled ‘Religion and the Frontier Challenges.’ The programme explores how religious traditions are taking leadership in facing the major challenges confronting humanity. Barnabas’ project will investigate both theoretical and practical Christian responses to refugees in the UK, using Paul Ricœur’s ethics of selfhood and otherness to provide a framework for how Christians can and do respond to the cultural/religious ‘other’.

More information on Barnabas’ new post, which begins October 1st, can be found here.
