We have had three recognitions in the Faculty:

Congratulations first to Simon Gathercole, promoted to Professor. He is truly world leading in the field, known and respected around the world for his scholarship, editor of leading journals, supervisor to many research students. He has also recently been instrumental in enervating and completing our Impact case studies for the REF.

Ankur Barua has been promoted to Senior Lecturer. Ankur has written many significant publications, been a highly devoted and popular teacher (a student-nominated prize winner), and proven his administrative skill in chairing the Equality and Diversity Committee, including ensuring the Athena Swann award.

Andrew Davison has also been promoted to Senior Lecturer. He is forging a new direction in the field of Science and Theology, attracting students and post-docs, starting a new series of publications, and has a consistent publication record. He has also been tireless in administration, managing and pushing forward the MPhil programme in particular.
