Reading Backwards: Israel's Scripture through the Eyes of the Evangelists

The Hulsean Lectures will be given by Professor Richard B. Hays (George Washington Ivey Professor of New Testament and Dean of the Divinity School, Duke University) on the following dates:

  • Tuesday 11 February 2014: Torah Reconfigured: Reading Scripture with Matthew
  • Wednesday 12 February 2014: The One Who Redeems Israel: Reading Scripture with Luke
  • Tuesday 29 April 2014: The Temple of His Body: Reading Scripture with John
  • Wednesday 30 April 2014: Retrospective Reading: The Challenges of Gospel-Shaped Hermeneutics

The first lecture will be at 17.00 in the Umney Theatre, Robinson College. All following lectures are at 17.00 in the Runcie Room, Faculty of Divinity.
