It is with great sadness that the Faculty has learned of the death of Sir Roger Scruton. In 2011-12 he gave the Stanton Lectures in the Faculty. In 2018 Sir Roger attended the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the diploma in theology that he helped set up in communist Czechoslovakia.

Family members of Don Stebbings, friends and colleagues gathered together for the dedication of a bench in his memory within the gardens of the Faculty of Divinity on 28th May 2019, followed by tea.
