Professor Johannes Hoff (University of London) spoke at the Faculty of Divinity, 16th November 2018.
Professor Hoff spoke on “The Return of Magic in the Digital Age: Re-thinking the Post-Reformation War against Fetishism”, and met with undergraduate students after the seminar (pictured).
The next meeting of the D Society (the senior seminar for Philosophy of Religion and Ethics) will be on 30th November: Dr Hjoerdis Becker-Lindenthal and Ms Ruby Guyatt, (Faculty of Divinity, Cambridge University) “Kierkegaard on existential kenosis and the power of the image: Practice in Christianity and Fear and Trembling”.
