If you are considering studying Theology, Religion or Philosophy of Religion at University, we would encourage you to join us for our next Open Day, and explore the wealth of opportunities on offer at Cambridge.

Attending an Open Day gives you a chance to meet lecturers and students, and find out more about the Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion undergraduate degree. The day is aimed at students in Year 12. We welcome attendees from Years 10 & 11 too, as well as mature students, but please be aware that admissions information may change, so younger attendees are advised to re-check specific admissions advice before applying.

The next Open Days will be held in on 10 and 11 July, 2025. Booking is available here.

Be sure to drop in and wander through, or take some time before or after one of the presentations!

Frequently asked questions

Where is the Faculty of Divinity?

The Faculty of Divinity is on West Road, Cambridge, CB3 9DP. Details about how to find us are here.

What is the best way to get to the Faculty?

If you are coming by train, Cambridge main station is the nearest station to the Faculty, and we recommend taking the Universal U bus line to the West Road stop (also called the University Library stop). The timetable for the Universal U bus is here. If you are arriving by coach, the Faculty is a 25-30 minute walk from the bus station on Drummer Street.

If you are coming by car, there is very limited on street Pay & Display parking on West Road (up to 4 hours) and Sidgwick Avenue (up to 8 hours). However, parking is extremely limited, so if you intend to park for the full day, rather than just dropping or collecting, we recommend using the Park and Ride service at Madingley Road and taking the Universal U bus service from Eddington Avenue (a short walk from the Park and Ride) to the West Road stop, which is across the road from the Faculty.

What do I need to bring?

You may want to take notes from some of the lectures, so please bring paper and a pen. Please do not bring any valuables, as we cannot guarantee their safety.

Do I have to wear my school uniform?

There is no dress code, although some people choose to wear uniform, especially if coming as part of a school group

I have accessibility requirements – what should I do?

Please email outreach@divinity.cam.ac.uk if you have not already let us know of any special requirements through the booking form. We are committed to making our events as accessible as possible and will work to ensure all requirements are accommodated.

Can my parent/guardian/teacher stay with me?

You are welcome to bring up to two guests. Please book a ticket for each guest through the booking form. Depending on numbers, we may need to reserve some lectures for prospective students only - tea and coffee will be provided and accompanying guests are welcome to tour the faculty and meet our staff during these times.

How much does the event cost?

There is no charge for attending the day. You will, however, be responsible for arranging your own travel to and from the event.

Can I stay overnight?

Several Cambridge Colleges make their unoccupied student rooms available to visitors and prospective students, for a charge. Meet Cambridge is the conference and events bureau for the Cambridge Colleges and will be able to direct you towards colleges that may have space.

How is my data used?

Please read how we use your personal information before booking tickets.

What do I do if I cannot attend?

If you know you will be unable to attend, please cancel your ticket through Eventbrite as we would appreciate the opportunity to offer your space to others.

We are always happy to show prospective applicants around the Faculty. If you cannot attend the Open Day, but would like to see our Facilities at another time, please get in touch. Any queries should be directed to outreach@divinity.cam.ac.uk. Recordings from the 2021 Online Open Day are available via this link. We also have Masterclasses and University Open Days throughout the year. More detail can be found here.
