Enrichment Day - 16th June 2022

The Faculty of Divinity, together with the Faculty of Education, is hosting an Enrichment Study Day for high-performing Year 10, 11 and 12 students on the 16th June 2022. The aim is to enrich students' experience of Religious Studies through a series of taster lectures and workshops. The study day will run from 10 am to 3 pm.

Who is the day aimed at?

Teachers are encouraged to bring students who would benefit from the enrichment activities on offer, and in particular those students who may be considering studying theology, religion or philosophy of religion at University.

There is no minimum or maximum group size, but places are limited and we cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate all applicants. We will notify you of the success of your application as soon after the 15th May as possible. We will give priority to requests from UK state schools or FE Colleges and those from under-represented geographical regions of the UK, as well as students that meet our widening participation criteria. Please see the application forms for more details.

Students in Year 10 and Year 11 must have at least one accompanying adult per group. Students in Year 12 may attend unaccompanied, but must undertake to remain with the group for the full event, including during lunch.

What does the day involve?

Attendees will enjoy a selection of workshops and taster lectures with Faculty of Divinity academic staff alongside a programme of short workshops run by the Faculty of Education. There will also be a general session on studying theology, religion and philosophy of religion at University, and lunch and an accompanied tour of one of the University colleges. The provisional programme can be found here:
