The Faculty of Divinity is delighted to welcome Dr Dustin Klinger, its new British Academy International Fellow, working on Language and Meaning in Post-Classical Islamic Intellectual History (1300-1500 CE). He joins a team of post-doctoral researchers working on medieval Islamic philosophy and theology: Dr Suf Amichay, Dr Amal Awad, and Dr Yasser Qureshy The team has launched a new pathway in the Faculty’s MPhil program on philosophy in the medieval and early modern Islamic world (link).
New pathway
The Faculty of Divinity has launched a new pathway in its MPhil program with the provisional title Arabic Philosophy; it introduces students to philosophy and philosophical theology in the medieval and early modern Islamic world. Current modules are (link pending).
The Hartwell Trust will offer a small number of scholarships for students intending to follow the Arabic Philosophy pathway.
