Biography:
Dr Geoff Dumbreck is an Affiliated Lecturer in Philosophy of Religion, and lectures for Paper B10: God, Freedom and the Soul. He was previously a Research Associate in the Faculty and Assistant Chaplain of Peterhouse.
Geoff completed his PhD with Prof Douglas Hedley in 2010, which was published as Schleiermacher and Religious Feeling (Leuven: Peeters, 2012). He also co-edited Head and Heart: Perspectives from Religion and Psychology (West Conshohocken, PA: Templeton Press, 2013).
His areas of interest include Romanticism (especially Schleiermacher and Chateaubriand), religious experience and Eucharistic theology.
Ordained in the Church of England, he is Vicar of St Peter's, Croydon and St Augustine's, South Croydon in the Diocese of Southwark.
